British Cycling Update on Coronavirus
You will have read or heard in the media about Coronavirus/COVID19.
If you are worried about participating in, the running of or officiating at a British Cycling event, ride or club activity, please consult the latest government advice here and NHS advice here.
As you would expect, British Cycling is following the guidance given to us by government and the public health authorities. We will update you as soon as we receive further information.
We know people may be nervous about staying active at the moment, but being fit and healthy is an important deterrent to the risk of any infection in the first place. As long as you follow all the relevant advice on how to avoid catching or spreading the virus, we would still encourage you to look after your health by getting active and getting out on a bike.
Now, to the ride....
Weather looks reasonable for Sunday, wind forecast is a moderate WSW so we will cycle the route linked below, stopping at CoG for coffee/tea & grub.
Note: The coffee stop is towards the end of the ride so I would suggest carrying some nutrition.
Depending on who is going we have the option of setting off from BLC (Bennachie Leisure Centre) in two groups, if so...
Group A - 8:45 am (Average between 13-15mph, everyone will be looked after).
Group B - 9:00 am (Average 15mph+, the ride leaders will try to keep the group together, but if someone is struggling they should attempt to join Group A when the two groups pass on the road)
Can you please let me know if you are planning to be there, especially if you would like to go in the earlier group.
A place to arrange regular club rides. Please state in the title whether the ride is for Beginners, Intermediate riders or Advanced riders.
